جیمز واتمن
در سال 1740 کارخانه کوچک کاغذ سازی در مرکز انگلستان در شهر کنت تاسیس نمود. او
هیچگاه نمیدانست یک روز این کارخانه بزرگترین و بهترین تولید کننده کاغذ های صافی
در جهان شناخته خواهد شد.امروزه کمپانی واتمن یک شرکت بین المللی میباشد که در
کشورهای بریتانیا ، ژاپن ، آلمان ، بلژیک و آمریکا محصولات خود را تولید میکند.
ویژگی خاص
واتمن نسبت به رقبای خود در کیفیت خلوص بسیار بالای محصولاتش میباشد و اکنون با
استانداردهای بسیار بالا محصولات خود را عرضه میدارد.
در سال
2004 شرکت واتمن با خریداری سهام کمپانی Schleicher & Schuell آلمان به
یکباره بازار کلیه رقبای خودرا در سطح قاره های آمریکا ، آسیا ، اروپا و آفریقا
بدست آورد.
منشاً و ريشه فعاليتهاي مرك Merck KGaA
به قرن 17 ميلادي و به سال 1668 يعني زماني كه فردريش ياكوب مرك ، داروفروشي ازخطه
شوينفورت مالكيت" Engle – Apoteke" (
داروفروشي اٍنگٍل) كه ميراثي خانوادگي دردارمشتات را به عهده داشت بر مي گردد. د
رسال 1816 اٍمانوئل مرك نوه جان هاينريش مرك مشاور ارتش هس داروسازي را به ارث برد.
تواناييهاي علمي امانوئل مر ك درسطح فوق العاده بالايي قرارداشت و به همين دليل
تلاشهاي او درآزمايشگاه داروسازي براي جداسازي آلكالوئيدها به عنوان مواد مؤثرگياهي
كه كمي قبل كشف شده بودند توأم با موفقيت شد . او توليد اين مواد در حجم انبوه را
در 1827 تحت عنوان "
مجموعه ابداعات دارويي و شيميايي "
كه شامل كليه آلكالوئيدهاي شناخته شده آن زمان بود براي فروش عرضه كرد.
امانوئل مرك و همكارانش پس ازاين شروع موفق در آزمايشگاه داروسازي ، كارخانه
شيميايي دارويي ساختند كه علاوه بر مواد اوليه داروها ، مواد شيميايي خاص ديگري را
نيز در برنامه توليد داشت . بيش از 800 محصول اختصاصي در كاتالوگ 1860 به چشم مي
خورد كه طي گذر به قرن بعد به 10000 محصول رسيد.
هنگامي كه امانوئل مرك در 1854 از دنيا رفت مديريت داروسازي و كارخانه به وارثان او
يعني كارل ،گئورگ ،ويلهم و بقيه افتاد اما در اين اثناء نيز شركت به طور مستمر
پيشرفت مي كرد به گونه اي كه مثلاً تعداد كارگران از 50 نفر در سال 1855 به 1000
نفر در سال 1900 رسيد.
در سال 1888 بازار شاهد ورود واكنشگرهاي خالص ضمانت شده مركبا برچسب""Pro
analysis
بود. در سال 1899 نيز ابتدا بهنامه مواد فوتو شيميايي و سپس در 1904 بهنامه مواد
دارويي منتشر شد. در اين زمان شركت نمايندگيهاي خارجي در برخي كشورها و چند دفتر
بزرگ در لندن ،نيويورك و مسكو داشت.
فشار كاري و توليد مضاعف به دهه 1914 كه با كمبود مواد اوليه ، كارگران ماهر و از
طرف ديگر جنگ كه توليد داروهاي خاص را ضروري مي نمود مشكل ساز بود.
پايان جنگ با از دست رفتن دفترهاي خارجي شركت از جملهMerck & co
در ايالات متحده همراه بود. در اين زمانويتامينها به عنوان محصولاتي جديد توجه ها را به خود
جلب كرده بودند. Vigantol در
سال 1927 و Cebion در
سال 1934 محصولات مركي بودند كه در اين راستا معرفي شدند.
با شروع جنگ جهاني دوم مجدداً جهت گيري شرايط اقتصادي تغييركرد، به گونه اي كه
كارگران ماهر و مواد اوليه روز به روز كمتر مي شد. د رانتهاي جنگ يعني 25 مارس سال
1945 كارخانه توسط سربازان آمريكايي در حالي كه بخش اعظمي از دستگاهها ويران شده
بود و 70% تا 80 % ظرفيت توليد از بين رفته بود اشغال شد.
درابتداي ، پس از خاتمه جنگ شركت فقط مجاز به جمع آوري
باقيمانده هاي ماشينهاي قابل كاربرد خود بود. در30 آوريل سال 1945 دولت نظامي اجازه
توليد داروها را صادر كرد و دو ماه بعد كارخانه مجاز به توليد آفت كشها ، نگهدارهده
اي غذا ، واكنشگرها و مواد شيميايي خاص براي آزمايشگاهها شد . اصلاحات پولي20 ژوئن سال 1948 نقطه عطفي در شكوفايي اقتصادي آلمان
گرديد كه به معجزه اقتصادي

معروف است . اين شكووفايي اقتصادي برا ي مرك توآم با رشد فروش براي سالها ي متمادي
بود. از عوامل دارويي موفق در اين زمان تهيه Corticoid
مثلاً Fortecortin كه
امروزه نيز مصرف مي شد ، داروي سرماخوردگي
Nasivin
، تهيه هورمون Cestafortin
و Menavoa ،
عامل ضد حساسيت Iivin ،
Sulfonamide ،
محرك هضم Nutrizym
، گستره عظيمي از آنتي بيوتيك Refobacin
و عامل قلبي Encordin
بود.
در بخش پژوهشهاي شيميايي كار روي رنگدانهاي صدفي در سال 1957
و براي بلورهاي مايع ، 10 سال پس از آن آغاز شد. در بخش شيمي تجزيه نيز مرك همواره
نقش پيشتازي در توسعه روشهاي كروماتوگرافي داشته است. پيشينه تاريخي 300 ساله مرك
درآرشيوي كه از حدود سال 1905 برپا شده مستند شده است . دراين آرشيو تمام اسناد
خانوادگي مرك ، داروفروشي اٍنگٍل و به طور كلي شركت مرك جمع آوري شده است.
قديميترين دست نوشت مربوط به يوان مرك (1642-1573) پدر فردريش ياكوب مرك است.
امروزه آرشيو 800 متري مرك مركز نگهداري پرونده هاي دوره هاي مختلف شركت شامل اسناد
تجاري ، مجوزها ، قراردادها ، پروتكلها ، مكاتبات ، بهنامه ها و ساير انتشارات مرك
به همراه اسناد شخصي كارمندان مرك ، منابع تبليغاتي و حدود 40000 كاتالوگ عكسبرداري
شده و البته همين مقدار داده هاي ديجيتالي است.
مرك امروز
هم اكنون مرك 33000 كارمند د ر شركتهاي تابعه خود در 60 كشور
دنيا دارد. گروهها توليدي مرك دربخشهاي مختلف بيش از 20000 محصول تخصصي درحيطه دارويي
، مواد شيميايي خاص و محصولات آزمايشگاهيي را توليد مي كنند.
در 1995 تشكيلات قانوني شركت از سهامي خاص به سهامي عام بدل شد كه البته هنوز هم 70
درصد سهام شركت متعلق به خانواده مرك است.
تاريخچه شركت بازرگاني مرك و ايران مرك
شركت مرك آلمان در سال 1347و توسط شركت فون گلينك مستقر در سوئيس خود، شركت
بازرگاني مرك را با هدف بازاريابي و فروش مواد شيميايي آزمايشگاهي ودارويي به
مديريت آقاي كارل وبر در خيابان كريمخان زند ابتداي آبان جنوبي كوچه پازند ساختمان
مرك تاسيس نمود.اين شركت طي سالهاي متمادي در قالب حضور در نمايشگها ،برگزاري
سيمينارهاي داخلي و خارجي در محل شركت مرك در دارمشتات آلمان، چاپ ومنتشر كردن
مقالات و كتب مختلفي از جمله راهنماي ميكروب شناسي عملي كه كتابي بسيار مفيد و
شناخته شده در بخش آموزشي و صنايع مرتبط با ميكروبيولوژي است در امر فروش و
بازاريابي محصولات مرك آلمان فعاليت نمود . نتيجه اين فعاليتها شناخت كافي و
اعتمادي است كه هم اكنون مصرف كنندهاي محصولات مرك آلمان به اين برند معروف و
باكيفيت دارند. شركت مرك آلمان در اواخر سال 1383 تصميم گرفت كه خود مستقيما در
بازار ايران حضور نداشته باشد و بنابراين شركت بازرگاني مرك پس از 36 سال به فعاليت

هم مشخص است . گاهی هم استوانه داخل cup را می چرخانند و cup دز اثر حرکت
مایع می چرخد و دوباره اختلاف سرعت بین استوانه و cup را اندازه می گیرند
